On The Edge Of The Dark Sea Of Darkness by Andrew Peterson is a fantasy favorite of mine. It is extremely well written, and is part of an equally well written series: “The Wingfeather Saga.” I have read the entire series twice, and both times were very enjoyable! The Igiby Family—Podo, Nia, Janner, Tink, and Leeli—are about to enter the adventure of their lives. They live in the world of Aerwiar, in the country of Skree, in the Glipwood Township. Life is normal for them, and living under the rule of the Fangs of Dang, is going as well as can be expected. Slowly but surely, though, the normality begins to fall away, revealing a world, a life, and a name that the Igiby children didn’t know was there. But when the Fangs conclude that the Igibys have the treasure they have been seeking—the Jewels of Anniera—running from the Fangs becomes their life. Filled with memorable characters, strange creatures, mysterious places, and unexpected adventures, this story never feels dull. I love this book—and this series—and hope you will too!
