The Lantern Lane Book Series by Tessa Greene, is a series I recently stumbled upon. My mom had gotten me the first one, and after reading it and enjoying it, I asked for the rest. The whole series has been AMAZING! I lent the books to a close friend of mine and she LOVED them too! The whole series follows a fourteen-year-old girl, Letty, and her friends on adventures they never would have expected. The first book opens with Letty’s father getting lost in the dark forest in the kingdom of Trielle. No one knows where he is, and Letty’s mother and her brother, Miles, are extremely worried. Search parties are sent out, and it is believed that hope is not lost. Meanwhile, the Princess Maisy, mistakes Letty for her runaway lady-in-waiting, and with one command from the princess, Letty is whisked into the castle and is expected to know exactly what, when, and how, to do things. But there is one hope, Jocelyn, one of the many castle maids, knows Letty isn’t Isla, (the old lady-in-waiting) and thus Letty finds an anchor in her storm. But between worrying about her father, and about doing everything to the conceited princess’s liking, she feels as though the storm is getting wilder all the time. The rest of the Lantern Lane books follow this wonderful first book very well. You will find that you enjoy the series more, the deeper in it you get. There are six books all in all in this series, each one better than the last.

Favorite Character

My Favorite Character: “I love Letty. There are other favorites from further in the series, but Letty is for sure a dear favorite.” —Millie J.
