Anne’s House of Dreams by L. M. Montgomery, is a very wonderful rainy day kind of book. It is comforting and extremely enjoyable, with a very dreamy aspect. Anne and Gilbert finally get married (something Gilbert has waited patiently all his life for), and they start their married life in a little white house on the coast, in Four Winds Harbor. It’s not just any house, though it’s their “House of Dreams” and it’s the place where many memorable things happen. They become close friends with several Four Winds Harbor locals; Captain Jim, Cornelia Bryant, Owen Ford, and Leslie Moore. Several exciting things happen during their life in Four Winds, and with each exciting (or devastating) revelation, they all become closer. But what will happen when a scandal (or so they think it is) involving Leslie breaks out? What about when tragedy strikes, or when they may have to leave the ‘House of Dreams’? I totally LOVE this book! There are so many unexpected plot twists! Enjoy!
